Government Affairs
Through its partnership with central and local government, eaga is uniquely positioned both at the heart of policymaking and at the front-end delivery of social and environmental improvement programmes.
eaga has provided evidence to parliamentary committees on climate change, fuel poverty and energy efficiency. The Group regularly influences policy through detailed responses to consultations on environmental, energy and social issues and engagement with senior politicians and advisors.
eaga's relationship with government is handled by Government Affairs Manager, Anne Toms. Anne works proactively with parliamentarians and political stakeholders across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland. Constituency reports and community based Awareness events ensure parliamentarians are actively engaged with eaga’s work at both national and constituency level.
