Energy Performance Certificates

Anyone selling a house is required by law to provide a Home Information Pack (HIP) to a potential buyer and an EPC is a key part of the pack. By the 1st October 2008 all rental properties, including residential and commercial, will require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

Using a UK standard assessment procedure, the certificate provides valuable information on how efficiently a property generates heating, lighting and hot water. A higher rating means lower fuel bills. A rating system will also illustrate a property’s environmental impact through CO2 emissions.

eaga can provide a professional and cost effective EPC service to HIP Providers, estate agents and   solicitors as well as RSL’s, private landlords and commercial agents and surveyors. eaga has been in the business of energy assessments for 15 years, primarily carrying out RDSAP assessments and installations for DEFRA, and has an established national network of energy assessors who are ready to take on EPCs. eaga has a bespoke software package in place which can seamlessly link to customers’ existing systems, 24-hour IT support and a Customer Contact Centre, allowing a completely seamless service.

If you are a HIP provider, estate agent or solicitor and would like more information on eaga’s EPC service, please contact:
